Cocaine raid in house with 5 children

A Fort Wayne man was arrested on four counts of dealing cocaine after a search Monday morning at a house with five children present, according to a statement from the Fort Wayne Police Department.

James C. Johnson, 35, was being held on $200,750 bond, the statement said.

Members of the police Emergency Services Team and its Vice & Narcotics Division went to the residence in the 1000 block of Ventura Lane shortly before 7:45 a.m., the statement said.

Police said about 4.5 grams of cocaine, a handgun and a small amount of marijuana were found during the search. Johnson was also charged with possession of marijuana.

The Indiana Department of Child Services was called in to assist with the children.
