Haven Manufacturing to create up to 100 jobs

Haven Manufacturing expects to create up to 100 new jobs as it invests more than $2.7 million in new equipment for its Ossian factory, Wells County officials announced today.

The company, which now employs 50 in Ossian, plans to add the jobs during a three-year period. Wages will average $17 an hour.

Haven also has operations in Angola and in Grand Haven, Michigan.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered the company up to $700,000 in conditional tax credits, based on its hiring plans. The Wells County Council approved a $19,700, 10-year tax abatement on new equipment.
