Bluffton boy, 13, shot in head accidentally

Bluffton police are investigating an accidental shooting Tuesday involving a 13-year-old boy who ended up with a gunshot wound to the head.

Police were called at 11:55 a.m. and said the boy was found outside a mobile home in the 600 block of Beth Avenue. He and was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital, but his condition was unknown Tuesday evening.

Three other children in the home at the time of the shooting were questioned by police.

Police were assisted by the Wells County Sheriff’s Office, Wells County EMS, Bluffton Fire Department, Indiana State Excise police and Samaritan helicopter.
