A woman was robbed of her night deposit after she closed a store at Glenbrook Square on Monday night.
According to a police report, the woman was making the night deposit at Chase Bank just east of the mall but felt unsafe about doing so. She called her mother on the phone while she made the deposit in order to feel more safe.
She pulled up to the bank about 9:40 p.m., and as she was getting out of her car, she saw a man crouched down about 50 feet away. He popped up and began running toward her, the report said.
He pointed a gun at her, yelling, give me the money. She handed him the deposit bag, and he told her, If you look down, I won’t hurt you. According to the police report, the gun appeared to be a silver .45-caliber with a screw-on type suppressor.
Her mother was on the open phone line as the robbery occurred, the report said.
The robber is described as being a light-skinned black with a mole on his left cheek, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and black sweatpants.
