South Korean pop star Psy’s “Gangnam Style” video is the first video to pass 2 billion views on YouTube.

Three months after winning an Oscar, Lupita Nyong’o is going to a galaxy far, far away.

The Walt Disney Co. announced Monday that Nyong’o is joining the cast of “Star Wars: Episode VII.” The 31-year-old actress became a breakthrough star for her award-winning performance in “12 Years a Slave.”

Also added to the cast was Gwendoline Christie, best known for playing the hulking Brienne of Tarth on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”

When the principal cast of “Episode VII” was announced last month, the lack of women raised some eyebrows.

Production is underway for the movie, which is being directed by J.J. Abrams. It’s slated to open in December 2015.

Spade penning memoir for fall 2015

There is more to David Spade than the catchphrase “Buh-bye.”

Dey Street Books announced Monday that the actor and comedian is working on a memoir scheduled to come out in fall 2015. Its title has not been released.

According to Dey Street, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, Spade will write about everything from his childhood in Arizona to his friendship with the late comedian Chris Farley.

In a statement issued through Dey Street, Spade offers a self-review for his book: It’s a “must” buy and a “maybe” read.

‘Gangnam Style’ hits 2 billion views

It’s 2 billion and counting for Psy and his irrepressible “Gangnam Style.”

The South Korean pop star’s surprise hit has become the first YouTube video to surpass 2 billion views, crossing the mark around shortly before midnight Friday.

The unlikely viral star holds the record for most overall views and most views in a day with 38 million for his “Gangnam Style” follow-up “Gentleman.”

No other video comes close to “Gangnam” on the streaming service’s list of top videos. Justin Bieber’s “Baby” is the only other billion-plus video at 1.04 billion views. Cute kid video “Charlie bit my finger – again!” is a distant third with 711 million views.
