A tiny turtle is making a big splash at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo.

Zoo officials announced on their blog that an endangered black-breasted leaf turtle hatched in the Indonesian rain forest three weeks ago. It weighs about the same as a quarter.

The species is managed by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, and zookeepers – who said the hatchling is thriving – are caring for the hatchling behind the scenes and monitoring its progress.
