Dallas linebacker hurts knee

– Oft-injured Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee didn’t even make it through the first offseason practice without another setback in a career filled with them.

Lee went down with a left knee injury during the team portion of what was supposed to be a noncontact workout Tuesday.

ESPN reported that Lee has a torn ACL and is expected to miss this season.

The fifth-year middle linebacker went to the ground with rookie offensive lineman Zack Martin on top of him and didn’t get up right away.

He had to be helped off the field by trainers, screaming in anger at cameramen lining the entrance to the training room.

Also at the Cowboys practice, quarterback Tony Romo, five months removed from back surgery, donned a baseball cap for 11-on-11 work.

There’s no use in rushing, as coach Jason Garrett has been saying for weeks.

Manziel says Vegas trip included study

Johnny Manziel was back at work after a holiday weekend in Las Vegas. And when you’re Johnny Football, what happens in Vegas doesn’t necessarily stay in Vegas.

The Browns’ celebrated rookie quarterback reported for organized team activities Tuesday after a few days in Las Vegas, where he kicked off his summer by hanging poolside with New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, attended a UFC fight and was captured on video spraying champagne on patrons in a nightclub.
