Indiana revamps its online fishing reports

– Indiana anglers looking for a good fishing hole this summer can help narrow their search on the state’s newly revamped online listing of statewide fishing reports.

The Department of Natural Resources’ new Indiana Fishing Reports split the state into north, central and south zones that link to interactive maps showing what’s biting in lakes in each respective region. A dropdown list also allows for quick specific lake searches.

DNR fisheries chief Bill James says the revamped online listings allow the agency’s staff to provide quick, real-time fishing updates from around the state and enable “anglers to know what is biting throughout the year.”

The information will be updated near the end of every week, giving anglers current information for each weekend.
