Man accused of groping taxi driver

A Fort Wayne man is accused of groping a taxi driver.

Ali S. Saleh, 18, of the 800 block of Buchanan Street, faces felony charges of sexual battery and battery.

The driver told police she was at the Jefferson Express gas station to refuel her taxi when she told Saleh, an employee at the gas station, about an injury to her side.

After she showed Saleh her injury, he touched her ribs, grabbed her chest, put his arm around her from behind and kissed her, a probable cause affidavit said.

When she broke free, she immediately went to her employer and called police. Saleh admitted to police that he grabbed and kissed the woman despite her demands that he stop, the report said.

Saleh was not in custody Thursday evening. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
