Indianapolis homicide suspect arrested in Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne police late Thursday arrested a man wanted in connection with an Indianapolis homicide, city police said today.

Mark Anthony Tyson Jr., whose age and address were not provided, was being held on a warrant charging murder and on a charge of false informing, police said in a statement.

Details of the Indianapolis case were not immediately available.

The statement said the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit was contacted by Indianapolis police on Thursday about Tyson possibly being in Fort Wayne.

Detectives were able to locate a vehicle being sought and conducted surveillance, it said.

When a vehicle left a home in the 4300 block of South Anthony Boulevard, Tyson was found to be its passenger, police said. They said Tyson was arrested without incident and taken to the Allen County Lockup.
