Looking for cocaine, police find 5 pounds of pot

A Fort Wayne man was arrested Wednesday after police said they searched his home and found nearly five pounds of marijuana.

Charley Gonzalez Jr., 61, faces charges of marijuana possession and three counts of dealing cocaine, all felonies.

The Fort Wayne police vice and narcotics division searched Gonzalez's house at 6317 E. Hills Road, near West Jefferson Boulevard and Liberty Mills Road, about 10:30 a.m. after they received information someone at the home was selling cocaine, police said.

Police said they documented at least one occasion when Gonzalez sold cocaine and found 4.8 pounds of marijuana during the search.

Gonzalez was being held Wednesday in lieu of $155,000 bail.
