A Syracuse man was badly injured Wednesday night when he crashed his motorcycle into a vehicle pulling a trailer in northern Kosciusko County, police said.

The sheriff's department was called at 6:35 p.m. to Indiana 13 near Southshore Golf Course.

Officers determined a 2010 Ford F-250 pickup truck, driven by Michael Gunderson, 26, of Milford, had stopped in the southbound lane of Indiana 13 because of other traffic.

Gunderson told police the trailer he was pulling was truck by a southbound motorcycle. Daniel List, 56, of Syracuse, was riding the motorcycle and was in critical condition with a severe head injury from the crash. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.

Gunderson was not injured, police said.
