Annual parade to honor veterans

The Allen County Council of Veterans will host a Memorial Day parade and ceremony Monday at Memorial Coliseum.

The parade will start about 11 a.m. at the corner of Parnell Avenue and State Boulevard and end at the Coliseum. A ceremony will be held after the parade outside of the Coliseum's Memorial Hall.

Additionally, the Allen County Council of Veterans will honor fallen comrades by tending its annual Watchfire from 9 p.m. Friday until 9 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Shrine, 2122 O'Day Road.
