Suspect charged in stabbing attack on woman

Dale J. Fransioli, 49, of Fort Wayne, faces a preliminary charge of felony aggravated battery in connection with an attack on a woman late Tuesday in Fort Wayne, according to a statement issued Wednesday by the Fort Wayne Police Department.

The woman remains in critical condition at a local hospital, the statement said. Her name has not been released.

She was stabbed at least twice, according to an earlier story.
