Police divers recover items from burglaries

The Indiana State Police Underwater Search and Rescue Team aided the Allen County Sheriff’s Department on Friday in searching for stolen items that were tossed in the St. Joseph River north of Grabill Road.

Two purses were among things found in about 10 feet of water and 35 feet from shore, state police said Tuesday.

The search in the Leo-Cedarville area pulled up identification cards, credit cards and other items that were taken in several Allen County burglaries, state police said.
