Northeast Indiana lakes, rivers get cleanup grants

Several lakes and waterways in northeast Indiana are getting grants for sediment and logjam removal this spring, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources announced Tuesday:

  • James Lake in Kosciusko County, $127,800 for sediment removal;
  • Tippecanoe Lake in Kosciusko County, $102,300 for sediment removal;
  • Snow Lake in Steuben County, $74,800 for sediment removal;
  • Pretty Lake in LaGrange County, $69,000 for sediment removal;
  • Tippecanoe River in Kosciusko County, $40,000 for logjam removal;
  • Pigeon River in LaGrange County, $17,600 for logjam removal;
  • Clear and Round lakes in Steuben County, $7,500 for sediment removal.
