Verbatim: Update - 911 phone lines now working in Steuben County

A report received Monday morning:

Update - It appears Frontier Communications has resolved the issue and all 911 lines are operational at this time.

Due to a county wide phone outage that is affecting 911 lines, fire department personnel throughout Steuben County have been called up to stand by at their stations.

In the event of an emergency, you are being asked to go through your local fire department until further notice. Steuben County communications says Frontier has been contacted about the problem.
