REO Speedwagon will perform June 24 at Foellinger Theatre. They are one of several big acts visiting the city this summer.

Music to the ears: Summer brings variety of acts

Whether your musical tendencies lean toward country, Christian, R&B, rock or a flashback to the ’80s and ’90s, Fort Wayne’s summer concerts have a little something for everyone.

One of the bigger groups making a return to Fort Wayne is country duo Florida Georgia Line, whose crossover song, “Cruise,” climbed the Billboard charts and became a summer favorite.

They will be playing at Parkview Field in June.

And although their show is sold out, there is no reason why you can’t roll your windows down outside the stadium and enjoy the tunes.

If “big” is what you like in your music, then you might enjoy a few bands from the ’80s, where big hair and power ballads ruled the stage. REO Speedwagon, Foreigner and Styx will perform at Foellinger Theatre this summer.
