Downtown Columbia City closes blocks for Taste of the Town

The 100 blocks of West Van Buren and South Chauncey streets will be closed in Columbia City today from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. for Taste of the Town tonight, according to a statement from the Columbia City Police Department.

Taste of the Town is an event planned by Eagle Tech Academy students that brings local businesses, restaurants and bands together at the Whitley County Courthouse Square today from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will also be a car show.

Drivers are warned to use caution when traveling in and around the area, the statement said.
