I&M asks residents to keep dogs inside

Indiana Michigan Power is asking residents not to let the dogs out.

National Dog Bite Prevention Week begins Sunday, and the utility is reminding customers that most meter inspections and testing take place during warmer months. Customers can become alarmed seeing a stranger on their property, but all I&M employees have an AEP logo visible on their clothing.

According to a State Farm report, Indiana ranks eighth for dog bites in the nation. California is No. 1.
