Hurt man claims attack by gang

He had significant lacerations to his head and wrist, some that were so severe he had lost the use of a few of his fingers.

And with those injuries the man’s story seems at least somewhat plausible:

He told Fort Wayne Police that he was jumped by 15 to 16 gang members at a local bar early Saturday morning.

The man met with a detective at an emergency room sometime after the supposed attack.

He claimed he was at a north-side bar when he was attacked and stabbed or cut – with what he didn’t know – by members of the “MOB” gang.

In a police report, a detective wrote that the man was at first hesitant to say what happened.

The man, who was not identified, is also in the department’s gang member database, according to the report.

Doctors had to take the man into surgery to try to repair his wrist, which had several cut tendons.

No arrests have been made.
