Indiana 1 closure starts Monday

Indiana 1 is scheduled to close at a bridge on the north side of St. Joe for several months.

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that the Bear Creek bridge in DeKalb County will be resurfaced, with additional work on the bridge wall and railings.

The bridge will close Monday morning, INDOT said, and the work is expected to end sometime in early August.

The official detour will use Interstate 69 and Indiana 8.
