Thomas Road section to close for track, asphalt work

A section of Thomas Road is to close Wednesday for track repair and asphalt paving, the city of Fort Wayne said today.

The section between Bass and Illinois roads will close at or before 9 a.m. and is to reopen Wednesday evening, the city's traffic engineering department said in a statement.

A detour will use Bass, Hillegas and Illinois roads, the statement said. Local traffic will be permitted up to the railroad tracks.
