The man found dead in a northwest Allen County home Thursday was shot to death, the county coroner's office said today.

David T. Wehrle. 39, of Huntertown was the fifth homicide victim of the year in the county, the coroner's office said in a statement.

The bodies of Wehrle and a woman, identified as Linette A. Pass, 49, of Huntertown, were found Thursday morning at a home in the 12000 block of Wandering Way.

Pass also died from gunshot wounds, but her manner of death is pending, the statement said.
