Indiana 1 bridge work to begin Monday

The Indiana 1 bridge over Bear Creek on the north side of St. Joe is to close Monday morning until early August for bridge-deck rehabilitation work, the Indiana Department of Transportation said today.

The detour will use Interstate 69, Indiana 8 and Indiana 1, INDOT said in a statement.

During the closure, the bridge deck will be resurfaced and bridge wall and railing improvements will be made, the statement said.
