Mayhew-area water service to be interrupted

City Utilities customers in the area around Mayhew, St. Joe, Flutter and Eby roads will lose water service from about 10 p.m. Monday through about 6 a.m. Tuesday, the city of Fort Wayne said today.

The interruption is needed to complete transferring customers to a new 16-inch water main, the city said in a statement.

It said businesses near Mayhew Park and residents on St. Joe Road and in the Hunters Glen and Autumn Chase housing additions will not have service during the period.

The new pipe is needed to accommodate county road improvements to Flutter Road, the city said.
