2nd man charged in home invasion

A second man has been charged in a home invasion at a West Central Neighborhood home in March.

Allen County prosecutors charged Jahon J. Jones, aka Johan Jones, 29, with several felony counts Tuesday, including burglary, robbery and criminal confinement.

Jones and 40-year-old Lewis J. Jones are accused of kicking in the door of a duplex in the 1200 block of Swinney Avenue on March 31.

Once inside, they pointed a gun at a woman, ordered her to tie up a man who lived there, tied her up as well and then stole money, video games and a gun. During the robbery, the man who lives at the duplex was also hit in the head, court records said.

Lewis Jones was arrested shortly after the robbery and was charged last month with a batch of felonies.

An anonymous call to Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of Jahon Jones, according to Allen Superior Court documents.

Both men were being held in the Allen County Jail in lieu of $80,000 bail each.
