Car slams into house

A car struck a fence at one home, a garage of another and a house itself Monday in the village of Paulding, Ohio.

The county sheriff’s department said Miles D. Goings, 48, of Paulding, was driving a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville on West Wayne Street shortly after 5:20 p.m. when the car left the road and ended up slamming into the house at 921 W. Wayne.

Goings and a 68-year-old passenger had minor injuries, the sheriff’s department said and neither needed treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The sheriff’s department said alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
