Photos released in purse snatching

Police said the woman in the photos used the victim’s personal and bank information to gain access to her account and steal money.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman whose image was captured by a surveillance camera.

The police said the victim, described as elderly, was leaving the parking lot at the Dollar General store, 1133 Coliseum Blvd. N., on March 11 when she was flagged down by a woman who told her that her front tire was flat. When the victim got out, another woman stole her purse from the vehicle.

The photos are from the Wells Fargo on Bluffton Road, and the police said the woman in the photos used the victim’s personal and bank information to gain access to her account and steal money.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
