Southern Wells class wins Top 100 reading award

Students in a Southern Wells Elementary School class logged 145,030 minutes of reading to make the Top 100 list of the nationwide Pizza Hut Book It! Program.

The class of Southern Wells sixth-grade teacher Nikki Barcus will be presented with a Top 100 Award and a Pizza Hut gift card, the company said.

Pizza Hut said thousands of classrooms took part, recording more than 132 million minutes.
