Woman dies, brothers injured in head-on crash

A head-on crash Tuesday evening on Indiana 1 left a 55-year-old woman dead and injured two brothers.

Albert Morales, 17, of Bluffton was going south about 6:20 p.m. in a red Grand Am just south of Ossian when the car crossed the center line into the path of a gray Windstar minivan driven by Cynthia Shrack of Dunkirk, according to a statement issued Wednesday morning by the Wells County Sheriff's Department.

It said the impact spun both vehicles and that both drivers were pinned. Shrack died at the scene and Morales was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital with multiple injuries. His brother, Matthew, 15, was also injured.
