Anthony Boulevard work postponed

Because of recent weather and emergency water main repairs on East State Boulevard, work scheduled on Anthony Boulevard has been pushed back to Wednesday.

The Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department said the two northbound lands of Anthony Boulevard will be closed north of Crescent Avenue between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, weather permitting.

By Wednesday evening, Anthony Boulevard will then have northbound lane restrictions – leaving at least one lane open – until all the work is completed. Southbound lanes on Anthony will remain open, but may have a lane restriction during construction, the department said.

City Utilities Water Maintenance will do repairs in the area. All work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, according to the announcement. Traffic on Crescent Avenue is not expected to be affected.
