    U.S. construction spending fell in August, the second decline in the past three months, with housing, non-residential and government projects all showing weakness.

Urban League honors what's right in Fort Wayne

Winners of a Fort Wayne Urban League honor represent what's right in the city, officials said.

Parkview Health, Fort Wayne Community Schools, City Councilman Glynn Hines and IPFW diversity outreach coordinator Andre Patterson were recognized Tuesday during the first Business Opportunity Day Awards Luncheon.

About 50 people attended the event at the Grand Wayne Center.

The award recipients were praised for championing equal opportunity and economic development in Fort Wayne.
