Accidental electrical fire damages vacant home

An accidental electrical fire damaged a vacant Westview Avenue home Monday afternoon, Fort Wayne firefighters said.

No one was injured in the fire which was controlled in about 30 minutes, the Fort Wayne Fire Department said in a statement.

Firefighters were called to 2826 Westview Ave. about 2:05 p.m. and found fire coming from a first-floor bedroom window and the eves of the one-story home, the statement said.

The department was assisted by the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority and Fort Wayne police.
