14 train cars derail in St. Joe

More than a dozen train coal cars derailed about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in DeKalb County. No injuries were reported when the 14 cars derailed in St. Joe, according to Carla Groleau, a representative for CSX Corp.

Of the cars that derailed, three were dumped on their sides, seven were leaning, and another four remained upright, Groleau said.

She said crews were working on clearing the area as quickly as possible. The cause of the derailment is under investigation. Groleau said it could take up to several weeks to determine a cause.
