Suspect, 50, accused of raping 17-year-old

A 50-year-old Winona Lake man was arrested Tuesday, accused of raping a 17-year-old girl on April 6.

Michael J. Elliott forced himself on the girl at her Warsaw residence, according to a statement issued Tuesday by the Warsaw Police Department.

Elliott was served Tuesday with warrants on charges of rape and sexual battery, the statement said. He was being held on a $50,000 bond.

Warsaw police were assisted by the Winona Lake Police Department and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
