2 sent to hospital in Noble County crash

Six people were injured, and two drivers were sent to a Fort Wayne hospital with head injuries, after a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in Noble County, the county sheriff's department said.

In a statement, the sheriff's department said Nicholas T. Slabach, 17, of LaGrange was driving on County Road 1200 North, east of County Road 75 West, at 7:35 p.m. when his vehicle rear-ended a second vehicle driven by Steven R. Hipsher, 59, of Fort Wayne.

Hipsher's vehicle was pushed off the road and flipped end over end before coming to rest in a farm field, the statement said. It said both drivers were taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center.
