Officers doubt tale of woman’s injuries

When police arrived at a Fort Wayne home and found a woman unconscious, the story from a man there didn’t add up, they said.

About 7 p.m. Thursday, city police arrived at a home at 1724 Tecumseh St. and found a woman unconscious and in critical condition. Police said investigators were suspicious of the details provided by a man who lives there.

The man was interviewed by police but not arrested.

The case remains under investigation.

Police did not release the victim’s name.
