Man hit by gunfire says he was taking out trash

A man who went to a Fort Wayne hospital emergency room had bullet wounds in his thighs, according to reports file by city officers.

Officers said they were told that the man walked into the hospital for treatment late Thursday.

He told police he was taking out the trash in the 1900 block of East Rudisill Boulevard and heard a loud bang. When he went inside, his girlfriend saw that he was bleeding.
