1 held on cocaine charges

FORT WAYNE – Police searched a house northeast of downtown on Friday morning and one man was charged with multiple cocaine-related charges.

Derek Taylor, 38, was charged with three counts of dealing cocaine, as well as possession of cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance, according to a statement issued Friday by the Fort Wayne Police Department.

It said a house in the 2500 block of Lynn Avenue was searched about 8:50 a.m., and officers from the Emergency Services Team and the Fort Wayne Vice and Narcotics Unit found 17.5 grams of cocaine.

Bond for Taylor, also known as Lil Rick, was set at $157,500.
