Bluffton hired Randy Hudgins as its next football coach, athletic director Steve Thompson confirmed Monday.
Hudgins, who spent five years at Columbia City, was hired to replace Casey Kolkman who resigned in January. Hudgins left Columbia City with a 28-27 record and won a share of the 2010 NHC championship.

HERTIAGE 7, CONCORDIA 2: At Concordia, Matthew Gibson led the Patriots with a double and a triple in a six-inning game. The game was called early due to darkness. Cole Beery was the winning pitcher.
ADAMS CENTRAL 20, BISHOP DWENGER 6: At Adams Central, Tanner Butler and Conner Lengerich hit home runs to lead the Jets. Butler went 4 for 4 with two runs and six RBI.
LAKEWOOD PARK 21, HAMILTON 0: At Hamilton, Mikeila Boroff pitched five innings and struck out 10 in a no-hit game.
ADAMS CENTRAL 8, BELLMONT 5: At Bellmont, Annie Isch had a home run and went 4 for 2 to lead the Jets over the Braves.
Haley Stinson pitched 4 1/3 innings and gave up five hits and four runs (one earned) to get the win.
NORWELL 3, CONCORDIA 2: At Norwell, Alissa Hanni went 2 for 3 and had one RBI in the Knights’ win over the Cadets. Tiffany Williams allowed three hits and two unearned runs to get the win. She struck out nine.
HOMESTEAD 14, NORTH SIDE 4: At North Side, Madisen Parker went 4 for 4, scored three, had two doubles, a triple and two RBI for the Spartans.
BISHOP DWENGER 12, LEO 10: At Bishop Dwenger, Jordan Schneider had two singles, a double and a home run, and Ali Irvine went 3 for 4 and scored two for the Saints.
CARROLL 5, SOUTH SIDE 0: At Carroll, senior Rachel Sutton won at No. 1 singles over Mary Donnelly 6-0 6-3 to lead the Chargers.
