6 felony counts filed in molestation case

A Fort Wayne man is accused of molesting a boy less than 14 years old during a six-year span.

Allen County Prosecutors formally charged Matthew S. Shirley, aka Shirley Matthew, with six felony counts of child molesting Monday.

Shirley, who knew the boy, is accused of molesting him between 2007 and last year.

The boy apparently told his brother about the molesting, according to court documents, who in turn told the boy’s mother.
