The improvement plan includes renovations and upgrades to the gymnasium and the addition of a multipurpose facility as well as construction of a chapel and renovations to 36 original classrooms. The goal for the campaign is to raise $7.25 million, officials said in a news release.

Monday also marked the anniversary of Bishop Joseph Dwenger's ordination, April 14, 1872.
