Vehicle pulled from addition’s pond

Firefighters searched a pond in the Waterford Addition Sunday morning after a vehicle was found in the water, according to a release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to 9509 Ballymore Drive at about 7:41 a.m. Sunday. A firefighter in a surface water rescue suit searched inside the vehicle, which was unoccupied, the release said.

The department’s scuba team deployed divers to search the area for victims, but none were found.

A wrecker later removed the car from the pond, the release said.

The incident remains under investigation.
