Sheriff's office seeks information on wanted Steuben man

The Steuben County Sheriff's Office is seeking to locate a rural Fremont man it believes has failed to register as a sex offender.

Corey Alan Witsman, 26, is on probation after being convicted of felony sexual misconduct with a minor last year, the sheriff's office said in a statement. It said his whereabouts are unknown.

Witsman is described as 5-foot-10, 165, pounds, white, with hazel eyes and auburn-colored hair. He was last known to have a jaw-line beard and a mustache.

Anyone with information about where Witsman is is asked to contact the sheriff's office or Steuben County Crime Stoppers.
