Pauley signs with CBS

– Former “Today” show host Jane Pauley is joining CBS News as an occasional contributor to its “Sunday Morning” broadcast.

She’s expected to make her first appearance in the next few weeks. CBS’ Bob Schieffer announced the move Wednesday at a symposium at Texas Christian University.

Pauley, 63, said she owed her 40-year NBC career partly to CBS. She was on a CBS affiliate in Indianapolis when an out-of-towner in for the Indianapolis 500 watched her broadcast.

Pauley soon got a call from NBC.
