Indiana 9 bridge to close for months

Work on a bridge will close Indiana 9 north of Columbia City until early August.

The bridge over Catfish Creek, about six miles north of Columbia City, will close at 6 a.m. Friday, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.

Work will include a new concrete bridge deck and rehabilitation of two piers, INDOT said.

The official detour will use U.S. 30, Indiana 109 and U.S. 33.
