Work underway on busy stretch of Lima Road

Crews are working to remove the center island on Lima Road between Coliseum Boulevard and Dalgren Avenue.

The inside northbound and southbound lanes will be restricted during daytime hours today and Thursday, weather permitting, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.

The island will be replaced with temporary asphalt to accommodate the traffic flow needed during the next phase of construction, INDOT said.

All work on Lima Road is anticipated to be completed by fall.
