Birdwatcher spots body at Lake Erie park

MENTOR, Ohio – Authorities east of Cleveland say a birdwatcher spotted a body at a state park along Lake Erie.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office says the body of an adult male of was discovered Tuesday afternoon at Headlands Beach State Park near Mentor.

The sheriff’s office told The News-Herald in Willoughby that it doesn’t have any outstanding missing persons in that area.

Investigators said it is too early to determine whether foul play was involved in the man’s death.
