About noon on Monday, Warsaw police officers got calls from the west side about a man in red clothing acting strange and jumping fences.
Officers were first sent to the area of Tippecanoe Drive and Hepler Drive and then to the area behind Purity Cylinder near Dot Street, a few blocks south. They found a man on Dot Street, sweating profusely, agitated, making statements that did not make sense and having trouble following simple instructions, the police said in a statement issued Tuesday.
Officers found a pill bottle with the suspect’s name containing what appeared to be crack cocaine, the statement said, and it tested positive for cocaine.
Kevin L. Bronson, 54, of Warsaw, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on a felony charge of possession of cocaine with a $2,000 bond.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department assisted.
